I want to nock down a wall that is at the back of a closet to enlarge a small 1/2 bath which is on the other side in our 1959 ranch home. Im not sure if it is load bearing. When I look from the basement there is an extra joist where the wall is located. The wall was put in before the subfloor which I thought might be a bit unusual. Im not sure if the double wideth joist is just extra support or if the wall is load bearing. I know the center wall seperating the front to back of the house is load bearing but could this wall be point bearing. If you have any input please let me know. Thanks

Although it's rather strange. It's not too common but, that extra support maybe thought too be usefull for the 2nd floor maybe removed if you install a secondairy one.
